The World’s Greatest Concerts, Delivered

The World's Greatest Concerts, Delivered

2022 has been, shall we say, interesting. We have experienced tremendous upheaval and challenges, and we’ve had to forego so many activities like eating out and watching sports. Watching old games on YouTube helps, but no matter who your team is, that 50-plus yard field goal just isn’t as exciting when you already know Van Tiffin will knock it through and Adam Griffith won’t.

We would like to share another option for making the most of your home theater that doesn’t lose any of the excitement as the year goes by… live concerts.

As you might have guessed based on our passion for high-quality audio, the Chorus team is passionate about music. Many of the greatest concerts of all time are available online, so we thought we would share a few of our favorites. Take this opportunity to get to know the Chorus team a little better, while enjoying some of the best live music ever recorded.

This is the first post in a series where Chorus team members will share their favorite concerts that are available to watch online. We hope this will help carry you through until we can enjoy live music together – as well as sports – in the not too distant future.

The Queen Performance at Live Aid

Our leader Rob Hardman’s favorite performance is Queen’s 20-minute set at the 1985 Live Aid concert. The walls of Rob’s office are decorated with album covers, so it’s no surprise he selected one of the most iconic musical performances of all time

July 13, 1985, was a day that made music history. The Live Aid concert was a global event, held in two stadiums: Wembley Stadium in London, England, and JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This event, organized as a fundraiser for famine relief in Ethiopia, featured performances from Madonna, U2, David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Dire Straits, Led Zeppelin, Phil Collins, and of course – Queen.

Rob was a Queen fan in high school and in college. He loved their unique sound and incredible harmonies. He remembers spending an entire day in front of a non-HD television set with a mono speaker watching the Live Aid concert. He was enraptured by many of these legendary performances, but Queen stole the show.

You can watch Queen’s performance at the Live Aid concert here: to see one of the musical highlights of the era featuring some of the band’s most popular tracks like Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Are the Champions, We Will Rock You, Radio Ga Ga, and of course, Bohemian Rhapsody.

Enjoy the concert experience you’ve been missing by bringing this Queen performance to your home theater.

Stay tuned for more concerts as our Chorus team takes you on tour!
